Subtle effects! I might consider making that ice less jarring, an make the red on the needle a brighter red and less red/orange. Great :)

I guess the snow looks a little grey, but plain white might be too much as well. Maybe put a texture overlay on it? Just some thoughts.

It is already an off white shade and has a texture overlay applied :P

Hmm. Maybe try transparency? Desaturate the green land underneath the snow?

Yeah, you did a good job according to that, I just feel like there's something a little dry about the icon. not sure how else to describe it :/
